The 6th death anniversary of former finance secretary and adviser to a caretaker government Kafiluddin Mahmood will be observed today.
Milad and Doa Mahfil will be held at the residence of Mahmood at Parshuram in Feni to mark the day.
In his long career, Mahmood served in different important positions of the government. He served as the Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) and alternate executive director of Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Mahmood died of old age complications on January 7, 2011.
