Cut piece of a human-leg was recovered from Tiakhali area under ward-26 on the city on Wednesday noon.
Mojibor Rahman Sardar, local resident, said after seeing the cut piece of the leg on a roadside field they informed police at about 12:30 PM.
Sakhawat Hossain, officer in charge of Kotwali police station, said he and Abdur Rouf, deputy commissioner (south) Barisal metropolitan police, rushed to the spot after informed at about 1:00 PM.
Police recovered the instep of a foot amputated from upper side of the ankle from a crop field at the end of Barisal-Tiakhali road and already started investigation in this connection, the OC of the PS told.
