Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam has been greeted by the members of the CUET family of being elected as Chairman of the Chittagong Unit of Engineers Institution Bangladesh .
The CUET family members led by its Registrar Prof DrFarukzzaman were present at VC conference hall yesterday.
Prof. Rafiqul Alam joined CUET in 1982 as lecturer and gradually promoted in present position. The biennial election of the IEB, chittagong unit was held on “Saturday last in a enthusiastic environment at IEB complex in city. Prof. Rafiqul Alam elected Chairman by securing 649 votes against his nearest rival Engr. Uday Shekor Dutta gets 238 votes, a CUET sources said.
The CUET family members handed over bouquets to the vice chancellor in the reception function .
