The normal official work and the trial proceedings in different courts of the Chittagong court building remained stopped till noon yesterday following the court boycott of the BNP-Jamaat supported lawyers. Due to boycott, the metropolitan magistrate courts and about 100 courts of the districts and the city remained stalled.
The lawyers brought out procession in the court premises twice during the period. Meanwhiel additional police forces have been deployed in the court premises. Court sources said, the Judges tried to sit in their Ejlash but the lawyers belong to 19-party alliance resisted them to continue the trial proceedings.
No untoward incident was happened during the period, police sources said. In protest to the police intervention in the meeting of the opposition alliance lawyers in Dhaka to protest the 7-murders of Narayangonj , the lawyers belong to BNP-Jamaat launched 4 days boycott programs across the country.
