47 km railway from Chittagong to Dohazari. Among them, 6 and a half kilometers from Chittagong to Sholshahar have been renovated. So now there is no difficulty in train movement up to Sholashahar. In an earlier project, new sleepers were installed, quality stones were also provided. Meanwhile, initiatives have been taken to modernize the 40-and-a-half-kilometer stretch of railway from Sholshahar to Dohazari.Additional Chief Engineer (Track) of Railway Eastern Region Arman Hossain said that the work will start next September.
He said that the work of Dohazari-Cox’s Bazar railway line is progressing at a fast pace. There are plans to run trains on this route next year. 47 km railway track from Chittagong to Dohazari also needs to be prepared in this way to run trains on Cox’s Bazar route. The 6 and a half km railway track from Chittagong to Sholshahar has already been renovated. So this 6 and half km is pretty good. Therefore, we have taken the initiative to modernize the remaining 40 and a half km railway from Sholashar to Dohazari. I will start work in September immediately after monsoon.
