The recovery rate from Covid-19 reached 70.14 percent on Thursday 2,746 patients were cured from the deadly disease in the last 24 hours boosting the number of total recoveries since March to 2,33,550.
Besides, the daily infection rate in Bangladesh declined to12.16 percent during the period as 1892 new patients were detected after testing 15,642 samples.
With the latest figure, the number of total cases rose to 3,32,970 which is 19.7 percent of the total tested population.
Bangladesh reported an additional 41 deaths in the last 24 hours increasing the death tally to 4,634.
A press release sent by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided the latest information.
In per one million population, 12.16 have been diagnosed with the virus in the last 24 hours while 1955.12 contracted the disease since March 8. At present, there are 94,786 active cases in the country. Bangladesh is seeing 1,371.35 recoveries per million while 27.21 are dying. Since March 18, 3,613 men and 1,021 women have died from the disease.
Of the 4,634 victims, the highest 2,319 are above 60 years, 1,258 between 51 and 60 years, 609 between 41 and 50 years, 279 between 31 and 40 years, 109 between 21 and 30 years, 40 between 11 and 20 years and 20 others are below 10 years.
So far, 2,239 have died in Dhaka division, 984 in Chattoram, 311 in Rajshahi, 393 in Khulna, 178 in Barishal, 209 in Sylhet, 220 in Rangpur and 100 have died in Mymensingh division.
Across the country, 18,417 people are in isolation and 50,718 people are quarantined at present.
In Bangladesh, the first three cases of coronavirus infection were detected on March 8 and on August 26 it crossed 3,00,000. On July 2, 4,019 Covid-19 patients were identified in the country, the highest in a single day.
