Country will be freed from illiteracy by 2021: Mosharraf

Minister for Housing and Public Works Engr. Mosharraf Hossain said that present govt has brought tremendous revolution in education sector and hence the country will be freed from the curse of illiteracy by 2021 .
 He said, govt has proved their utmost sincerity in education sector by distribution of text books to the students on first day of the year free of cost. The minister disclosed it while addressing the 130th founding anniversary function of Kazem Ali School & College in city on Saturday as Chief Guest. Minister further said after Bangabandhu’s rule, no govt given importance of primary and secondary education before state power of present Awami League. He said present Prime Minister has given priority to teachers and the present govt has nationalised 26 000 private primary schools with appropriate honour to the teachers. He hoped that the very ancient school of the region – Kazem Ali School will prove himself as top educational institution in the city through cent percent success in SSC and HSC.
The minister inaugurated the founding anniversary function by releasing ballons at school premises on Saturday and a colourful ralling brought out f rom school premises which paraded the main thoroughfares of the city . Among others, Secretary general of Jatiya Party Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, MA Latif MP, General secretary of City AL AZM Nasiruddi, Editor of Bir Chattagram Mancha Omar Faruk, JP leader Solaiman Alam Seth, panel mayor Chowdhury Hasan Mahmud, councilor Anjuman Ara, Headmaster of the school Giasuddin spoke on the occasion..
