UNB, Dhaka :Condemning the jailing of her party leader Aman Ullah Aman, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday night alleged the present ‘illegal’ regime has turned the country into a horrific hell with its misrule. In a statement, she said, “The ruling party after assuming office illegally has made the country a terrible hell through politics of terrorism.”The BNP chief also alleged that Awami League following its traditional non-democratic values is marching towards fascism. “They’ re dreaming of establishing a state there’ll be only their authority excluding the opposition.”She expressed her anger over the sending of Aman Ullah Aman to jail by a lower court after canceling his bail and said it was part of the government’s plot to annihilate the opposition and divert people’s attention to a different direction.Khaleda accused the government of keeping the BNP leaders behind the bars in ‘false cases’ using its illegal power only to hush up its misdeeds. An appalling anarchy has been created in the country as the current government resorted to killing, forced disappearance and abduction to run the state ignoring people’s interests, she said adding, “The security of people and their property is now under a serious threat.”Khaleda demanded the government immediately release BNP joint secretary general Aman Ullah Aman withdrawing the ‘false cases’ filed against him.
