Counter Terrorism Unit introduced in Chittagong Metropolitan Police authority following the directives of the Police commissioner Iqbal Bahar on Sunday .
The objectives of the CTU is to control the terrorism, anarchy and financing towards terrorism in the city.
Additional Deputy commissioner(DB) of Bandar zone Polash Kanti Nath has been assigned the responsibility of the CTU and the Deputy commissioner(DB) Maruf Hossain will monitor the activities of the unit, CMP sources said. Meanwhile , CMP reshuffles the postings of police officials of four Additional Dy commissioners, two OCs and six Inspectors, sources said.
