The general students of Comilla University (CoU) are suffering from insecurity due to the threatening of the local miscreants .
The students always have to face the situation or to loss their precious wealth or even to fear for their lives. This has become a common picture at the university area and incidents like snatching is occurring at daylight.
Riku Chakma, a student of Economics Department faced a group of snatchers infront of the VC Banglow on Wednesday morning. The Snatchers tried to snatch his laptop showing fear by pistol and other fire arms. Somehow, he scuffled with the terrorists and entered the VC Banglow to escape.
Meanwhile, the VC was going to his office riding on his car. Riku seeked help from the VC. After that he gave an application to the proctor for his life safety.
The proctorial body rushed to the spot immediately and promised to investigate the incident.
“The university authority is concerned about the incident and we hope to give punishment to the miscreants” stated Ainul Haque, Proctor of the University.
To note, a student of Bangla Deparment also had to face the such kind of situation at the same place on 16th September last. He also gave a written application to the proctor. But the university authority has failed to punish the miscreants.
