Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif on Wednesday said nuclear scientist Dr. M.A. Wazed Miah was a learned man enlightened with real education.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting at Bishwa Sahitya Kendra auditorium in the city marking the 74th birth anniversary of Dr. Wazed Miah.
The minister said the contribution of Wazed Miah in setting nuclear power plants at Rooppur is remarkable.
He said all should work from their respective positions to take the country forward.
He called upon all to be united under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build a developed Bangladesh.
Presided over by former Deputy Speaker Prof. Ali Ashraf, the meeting was also addressed by Bangladesh Press Council Chairman Justice Mohammad Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Advocate Delwar Hossain Bhuiyan, veteran politician Mozaffar Hossain Paltu, Prof Dr. Syed Modasser Ali, Prof Dr. SM Nazrul Islam and Engineer Shahid Reza.
