A college girl was killed and four others were injured in a road accident in Kawkhali upazila of Rangamati on Sunday morning.
Decease Eshiching Marma, 20, was an honors student of Rangamati Government College. Locals said a truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, carrying five people, in Ghagra’s Kalabagan area around 10:00am, leaving Eshiching dead on spot and four others injured.
The injured were rushed to Rangamati General Hospital. Among them, one was, later, shifted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.
Confirming the matter, Kawkhali Police Station officer in-charge Md Shahidullah said the truck was seized but its driver managed to flee the scene.
