Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has launched a weeklong “Clean Dhaka Campaign” on Saturday marking the 99th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon launched the campaign at a rally held in front of Nagar Bhaban.
“We are going to run the campaign to keep our city clean. We will pay our due respect to Father of the Nation by providing service to city dwellers through this campaign,” he said.
The mayor sought cooperation of the city dwellers to make the capital clean. He also urged them to call DSCC hotline number 09611000999, if they see garbage on the street.
Later, the DSCC mayor led a colorful procession that paraded different city streets.
