A man was killed and thirteen other people were injured in a clash over cutting paddy at Khoichala village in Raiganj upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rashid, 58, a resident of the village.
Police said there had been a longstanding dispute between Rashid and Amzad Hossain over the ownership of a piece of land.
The clash ensued as Amzad obstructed Rashid when he (Rashid) along with his associates went to the land to cut paddy around 8.00am.
The clash left 14 people injured, including Rashid.
Later the injured were rushed to Sirajganj General Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
On information, police visited the spot and arrested 10 people.
Rashedul Islam Biswas, officer-in-charge of Raiganj police station, confirmed the incident.
