Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor on Friday urged the people to uphold country’s glorious heritage and culture, achieved by the Liberation War. “We have to uphold our rights, cultural heritage and tradition that we achieved through the victory of the Liberation War.We also have to work together to flourish it.” Noor said this while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the day-long ‘Bangladesh Utsab’ organised by mobile phone operator, Banglalink at city’s Ramna Park on wrapping up the year 2014.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Benazir Ahmed, Litterateur Anisul Hoque, Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei Technologies, Bangladesh Lijun and Banglalink’s brand ambassador Shakib Al Hasan were present, among others.
The minister said the government would appreciate the efforts of Banglalink if they take any initiative to nourish the country’s culture.
In this mega festival, there was one painting work as a tribute to SM Sultan and the 100-foot long canvas became one of the biggest canvases of Bangladesh.
