The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Water Resources Ministry asked the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) to post necessary manpower in erosion-prone haor region before the upcoming monsoon.
The directive was given at its meeting held recently at Sangsad Bhaban here, a PID handout said.
With Committee Chairman Ramesh Chandra Sen in the chair, the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Water Resources M Enamul Haque Shamim, Whip Shamsul Haque Chowdhury, Md Nazrul Islam, M Faridul Haque Khan and Rushma Begum.
The committee members expressed satisfactory over the progress of Char Development and Settlement Project-4 (CDSP-4).
