Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) observed the World Heart Day yesterday, which will be observed globally on Sept 29, in a befitting manner aimed at creating awareness among people to prevent the cardiovascular disease.
BSMMU Cardiology department organized a two day-long conference titled, ‘Complex Coronary Intervention & Scientific Conference’ to mark the Day focusing on creating healthy heart environments ensuring everyone has the chance to make healthy heart choices wherever they live, work and play.
President of Heart Foundation of Bangladesh National Professor Brig. (Retd) Abdul Malik inaugurated the conference with Chairman of Cardiology Department Prof Dr Sajal Banerjee in the Chair.
