British Council to stage a unique ‘Theatre’ in Dhaka Mar 28, 29

The British Council in Bangladesh is going to arrange a performance on Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ in 2016 titled ‘A Different Romeo and Juliet’ of a 75-minutes at Shilpokala Academy in Dhaka on March 28-29.
This play forms part of the Council’s Shakespeare Lives program for 2016, spanning 130 countries across the globe, celebrating the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s life and works.
This is a truly unique project in a way that it will be performed by 14 highly talented artists with disability. The project is jointly led by Jenny Sealey, Artistic Director of Graeae Theatre Company, UK and Dhaka Theatre’s Nasiruddin Yousuff as the Producer.
The council informed the matter during a view exchange meeting between Dhaka University Journalists’ Association (DUJA) and the Council held on Wednesday noon at the council auditorium on the Fular Road of Dhaka University area.
