The century old traditional wresting competition popularly known as Jabbrer Boli Khela was held at Laldighi Maidan in the Port City yesterday.
Centring the Boli Khela, a largest fair of locally made earthen wares, handicrafts, bamboo and cane products, sweetmeats, plastic products and different household wares began at Laldighi and its adjoining areas in heart of the city from yesterday.
The mad rush of visitors in the fair witnessed on first day of the fair. This was the 110th session of Bolikhela which inaugurated by Police commissioner Md. Mahbubur RAhman duly graced by city mayor AJM Nasiruddin as Chief Guest.
Mentionable that stalls of household utensils, earthen wares and other handicraft products like bamboo made, wooden made, canes , toy items, home made sweetmeats, and varieties of sweetmeat products etc installed in the fair venue which arrived from different areas of the country including north Bengal of the country.
