Dead body of a farmer contained in a gunny bag was recovered by the police from a fish farm of village Masuarkul within Barabaria Union Parishad under Chitalmari Upazila in Bagerhat district at Saturday night after 2 days of his missing, according to a delayed report received here.
The name of the farmer is Anwar Shaikh (50) hailed from the village Kananpur within Kalatala Union Parishad under the same Upazila. It is primarily guessed by the police that he was, perhaps, allegedly killed by some miscreants and the dead body was thrown into the fish farm after putting it in a gunny bag. But the motive behind the murder could not be ascertained till the writing of this report.
