In a sudden and dramatic development Jatiya Party (JP) chairman former President HM Ershad has appointed Boby Hajjaj, special adviser to the party chief as the party’s new spokesman and also election coordinator.
In the process Ershad who has been appointed as special envoy to the prime minister in the rank and status of a minister, has created new record of changing party spokesman. The new decision will come into force with immediate effect, according to chairman’s press and political secretary Sunil Shuva Roy.
Bobby Hajaj has so long been running the JP”s research wing, Roy added.
Bobby Hajaj, son of Musa Bin Shamsher was forcibly sent out of the country on the eve of the farcical January 5 one -sided elections. He made some statements regarding the stand of the party chairman HM Ershad who was kept in the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) as there was sharp division between him and his wife Raushan Ershad over participation in the one -sided January 5 polls.
