UNB, Dhaka :
Defending party senior vice-chairman’s claim that killers of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman are in the current cabinet, BNP on Friday alleged that the ministers and the ruling party leaders are hurling abusive at Tarique Rahman failing to refute his ‘true’ assertions.
“When our leader Tarique Rahman presents the truth from the books and newspapers, you’re hurling abusive at him as you can’t refute his remarks. You’re attacking him with indecent remarks exposing your true political culture after being failed to give any logic against his comments,” said BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The BNP spokesman came up with the remarks while addressing a discussion titled, ‘Tarique Rahman’s development thoughts & future Bangladesh’, arranged by Nationalist Research Foundation at the Jatiya Press Club.
Narrating the post-Bangabandhu murder incidents, Fakhrul asked who had assumed office even before removing the bloods of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the stairs of his Dhanmondi 32 house in 1975 and who took oath in the cabinet of Khandaker Mushtaque Ahmed.
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s current ‘prime’ adviser HT Imam had conducted the oath-taking ceremony of Mushtaque.
