The High Court (HC) on Monday granted anticipatory bail to BNP leader Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury for six weeks in two separate criminal cases.
The HC bench of Justice Muhammad Abdul Hafiz and Justice Bhishmadev Chakrabortty passed the order after hearing two separate petitions filed by Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury seeking bail in the cases.
The cases were filed at Shabagh Police Station, and Kotwali Police Station

The cases were filed at Shabagh Police Station, and Kotwali Police Station
in the city, and Chittagong, on August 4 on charges of provocating the road safety movement and conspiring against the state with a Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader through mobile phone.
The accused BNP leader appeared before the HC Bench yesterday seeking anticipatory bail in the cases against him.
Advocate Zainul Abedin and Barrister A M Mahbub Uddin Khokan appeared in the court on behalf of the BNP leader.
