Court Correspondent :
A Dhaka court yesterday (Monday) refused the bail pleas of BNP Chairperson’s adviser Shamsuzzaman Dudu in four cases filed with Paltan Police Station on the charge of subversion.
Advocate Joynul Abedin Mezbah filed a petition with the Metropolitan Sessions’ Judge’s Court of Dhaka seeking bail for Dudu in the four cases, but Judge Kamrul Hasan Mollah rejected it after hearing.
Police filed the cases in January when an indefinite blockade sponsored by the BNP-led 20-party alliance was in force across the country.
Shamsuzzaman was arrested from the capital city’s Mirpur area on January 11 and was remanded for 15 days in the four cases. He is now in the jail.
