angladesh Krishi Bank (BKB), Narsingdi region, has taken up plan to disburse Taka 70 crore agriculture loans among the farmers during the current financial year.
Of the total amount, the bank till last month distributed Tk 10.17crore among 1,157 farmers through its 22 branches in six upazilas, bank sources said.
Rest of the amount will be disbursed for crop cultivation, pisciculture, livestock raising , poultry farming, small trade, marketing of agricultural products and socio-economic development activities.
The BKB has also decided to realize outstanding agricultural loan ofTaka 105.93 crore from the farmers of the region during the current fiscal .
The Bank has so far realized Taka 10.77crore from 1,010 borrowers during the first three months of the fiscal.
