A two-day Debate Festival of Bangladesh Islami University Debating Club (BIUdc) concluded with a Prize Giving Ceremony at the university auditorium recently.
The ceremony was attended by Principal Kamaluddin Abdullah Zafree, Chairman of Board Of Trustees of BIU, as the chief guest while BIUdc moderator Abdullah Al Zobair was in the chair.
Among others, Prof Dr ANM Rafiqur Rahman, Vice-chairman of BIU Trustees Board; Prof Md Yousif, BIU registrar; ASM Tariq Iqbal, Chairman of Law Dept were present as special guests.
Earlier on Wednesday, Vice-Chancellor of BIU Prof Dr Anwarullah Chowdhury inaugurated the Debate Festival and led a rally paraded on city streets.
The debate festival was included public speaking (Bangla and English), Parliamentary Debate, fun debate, debate in colloquial languages and so on.
Around 300 students of the university took part in this 8th Anniversary Debate Festival.
Latter, a new committee of BAUdc including Md. Tanvir Hasan as the president and Harun or Rashisd as the General Secretary was elected for 2016.
