State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Shikder, MP Thursday said the youth community could be saved from their involvement in militancy and terrorist activities by imparting them with skill development training creating scope for employment and by involving them in sports activities.
He said this while speaking as the chairperson at a discussion titled “What to be done by the Sports Ministry in resisting militancy and terrorism,” held at the Conference room of the Youth and Sports Ministry in the city.
Youth and Sports Secretary Kazi Akter Uddin Ahmed and other senior officials of ministry and associations were present, among others, on the occasion.
