Noted poet and lyricist Bhuiyan Shafiqul Islam’s four audio CDs were launched at a function held at the auditorium of the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the city’s Segunbagicha area on Monday evening.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor MP was present as chief guest at the album launching ceremony.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal MP, Secretary of the Cabinet Council Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Ministry Dr Ranjit Kumar Biswas and Director General of Bangla Academy Shamsuzzaman Khan were also present as special guests in the programme which was presided over by the Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky.
After album launching ceremony singer Arif rendered two songs which lyrics and music were composed by Bhuiyan Shafiqul Islam and noted singers Sumona Bardhan, Timir Nandi, Anima Mukti Gomez, Sanjay Roy and Abu Bakar Siddique rendered songs in the programme.
