Bhangura schoolgirl rescued after 17 days of missing

A school student named Radola Akand(16) student of Science School in Bhangura municipality of Pabna, was rescued by Bhangurathana police on Wednesday. She had been missing for 17 days.
It is reported that a person informed the police a girl was wandering aimlessly at the railway gate behind the Upazilapara.
After receiving the news, OC Faisal bin Ahsan along with SI Murad rescued the girl from the spot and took her to the police station. Police later confirmed that the girl’s name was Rodela. She has been missing since June 20. Rodella’s parents went to the police station and identified their daughter.
Haji Abdul LatifAkand, father of Rodela from Saratnagar Bazar Maholla of Bhangura Municipality of Pabna said, “My minor daughter has been abducted and tortured.” So now she can’t even speak well. She is currently very ill, scared and terrified and behaves like a lot of mental imbalance.
M. Faisal bin Ahsan, officer in charge of Bhangura police station said that after the girl went missing, her father filed a kidnapping case to the police against five people. Since then, the police have been trying to rescue her. She was finally found on Wednesday. He added that the girl had been sent to the Pabna Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court in the afternoon for permission for a medical test and a record of her statement.
