August 15 was the 39th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. To commemorate the death anniversary, Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) organised a discussion meeting at VIP Projection Hall of BFDC in the city’s Tejgaon area yesterday.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present as chief guest in the meeting, while Information Secretary Mortuza Ahmed was present special guest on the occasion.
Noted film actress and former MP Sarah Begum Kobori, film actor Akbar Hossain Khan Pathan (Faruk), eminent film director Kazi Hayat and Managing Director of BFDC SM Harunur Rashid were also present in the meeting and took part in discussion. Popular film actress Nipun hosted the programme.
Meanwhile, veteran film actor ATM Shamsuzzaman, film director Sohanur Rahman Sohan, General Secretary of Film Directors’ Association Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, producer Abbas Ullah Khorshed Alam Khosru, among others, were also present on the occasion.
