The US Embassy in Dhaka and the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) at BRAC University have announced the names of four Bangladeshi young entrepreneurs who will be visiting the United States from April 30 to June 3 under the US State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ Professional Fellows Exchange Program 2016.
The names were disclosed at a pre-departure orientation event held at the GDLN Centre, BRAC University in the city on Thursday evening, said a press release on Friday.
An in-depth discussion along with questions and answers sessions were also held during the orientation.
The four participants are freelance journalist and founder & PR Strategist of Newsfeed PR Syed R Shams, Senior Manager, Business Development and Strategy of Dreamcast Marketing and Communications, Mohiuddin Chowdhury Shaon, Director of Mondal Agro Industries Limited Md Rasheduzzaman, and founder and President of Gen Lab Ratul Dev.
Shamim E Haque, Assistant Professor, BRAC Business School and Programme Coordinator, CED announced the names and replied various queries of the fellows regarding the programme.
The fellows were selected following a strict three-fold scrutiny of more than 130 applications from Bangladesh.
