Industries minister Amir Hossain Amu said Bangladesh has a target to increase the export of readymade garment to US$50 billion by 2021.
“The government and the readymade garment sector have been working closely to take the garment exports to US$50 billion by 2021 and this sector has very important contribution to the rising economy of Bangladesh,” Amu said while speaking as a panel speaker on Focus on the Textile and Garments at Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
Paris-Sorbonne University organized the discussion as part of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit, maid a media release of the industries ministry.
