UNB, Barisal :A local Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader was chopped to death and three others were injured in an attack by miscreants in front of Barisal Polytechnic Institute on Friday night.The deceased was identified as Reza, 22, while the injured are Mehedi, 20, Maruf, 22, and Purno, 20.Officer-in-Charge of Barisal Kotwali Model Police Station Ataur Rahman said a group of miscreants chopped Reza and his three friends withsharp weapons indiscriminately while they were gossiping in front of the institute around 9:30pm, leaving them injured. They were taken to Barisal Shere-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where Reza died around 11:15pm, said the OC.
