League leaders Bashundhara Kings overpowered Brahmanbaria FC by 6-0 goals in the day’s first match of the Women’s Football League at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Monday. Bashundhara Kings totally dominated over their opponents and achieved the victory, which they deserved it.
The matches of the Women’s Football league are going on through the lock-down.
Krishna Rani Sarkar and Shawpna of Bashundhara Kings scored two goals each and their teammates Sabina Khatun and Sultana netted one goal each.
Bashundhara led the first half 3-0.
Members of Bashundhara Kings came at the match venue by bus from their tent.
On the other hand, members of Brahmanbaria FC were at a hotel in the city’s Kamalapur before taking part in the match.
Meanwhile, Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan got walkover against Kachijhuli Club in the day’s other match at the same venue.
Sabina Khatun put her team ahead in the 6th minute of the play.
Krishna Rani made it 2-0 in the 18th minute of the game.
She scored her second goal in the 21st minute of the clash.
After the lemon-break, Shawpna increased the tally into 4-0 in the 49th minute of the encounter.
Sultana made it 5-0 in the 89th minute of the play.
Shawpna sealed the fate of the match in the third minute of the injury time (93rd minute).
It may be mentioned that Sabina Khatun scored 102 goals in his career so far.
Today Suddopushkoroni Jubo Sporting Club will face Cumilla United Club at 2.15pm, while Nasrin Sports Academy will meet Jamalpur Kacharipara XI at 4.15pm at the same venue.
