The 3-day long Bangladesh Apparel & Safety Expo-15 ended on Saturday. The BASEXPO-15 begins in the port city at Hotel Radison Blu on August 6 last as inaugurated by the commerce minister Tofael Ahmed as chief guest as arranged by Bangladesh Garments manufacturers and Exporters Association.
On last day of the Expo, orders of RMG equipments, knitting machines, fire safety equipments and accessories were received f rom RMG owners of the country amounting to Tk.500 crores (69 million of US dollar).
B esides, orders also received for supply of 20 lakh pieces of jackets and shirts from buyers. While contacted the first vice president of BGMEA chittagong chapter Nasiruddin Ahmed chowdhury told the New Nation that we achiveved tremendous success in this expo and the police makers, govt officials, diplomats and foreign buyers attended the global standard four seminars on August 6 a nd 7 .
Chief coordinator of the Expo and Director of BGMEA ANM Saifuddin told that they achieved huge response from the buyers.
He said there are 73 stalls of different categories related to RMG industries in the Expo. In this Expo , Commerce minister, Commerce ministry s ecretary, Diplomats from USA, Canada, Australia, EU, Australia, japan, China, South korea and a number of foreign buyers participated the Expo and 4 seminars.
Besides, researchers from different Research institute of the country and professors from different universities of home and abroad were also participated the seminars, sources said.
