Bangladesh showed a respectable performance in the ICC Champions Trophy in England and Wales. Bangladesh reached the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy, one of the most prestigious cricket meet of the whole world.

Later, The Tigers registered a historic five-wicket victory over New Zealand in their last Group-A match on June 9.
But Bangladesh’s dream to reach the final want in vain as they lost to defending champions India by nine wickets in the semi-final on June 15.
Though Bangladesh failed to get ticket of the final but the Tigers showed a gimmick performance. They for the first time confirmed their semi-final berth in the ICC Champions Trophy.

Shakib Al Hasan scored 10 runs against England, made 29 against Australia, notched up 114 against New Zealand and was dismissed for 15 by India. He scored altogether 168 runs. His highest score was 114. His average was 42.
Mushfiqur Rahim notched up 79 runs against England, was dismissed for nine by Australia, scored 14 against New Zealand and made 61 against India. He scored altogether 163 runs. His highest score was 79. His average was 40.75.
