Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi cattle trader from Patari border in Sapahar upazila early Wednesday.
The victim was identified as M Yusuf Ali, 35, son of late Israil of Dakkhin Patari village in the upazila.
Quoting locals, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sources said when Yusuf along with other cattle traders went near border pillar no 242 along Patari border in the upazila BSF troops of Rangamati camp in India chased them around 12:10am.
The BSF troops picked up Yusuf while the others managed to flee.
Commanding officer of Naogaon BGB Battalion-14 Lieutenant Col Rafiquel Hasan said they have been trying to bring back Yusuf.
