A Bangladeshi was injured by the firing of Border Security Force (BSF) of India in Buriputa frontier area on Thursday night in Meherpur.
The victim was identified as Abdul Hannan, a son of Atahar Ali of Khalpara village in Khalputa area.
Camp Commander of Buriputa BGB Alamgir Hossain confirmed the incident. He said BSF of Natna Camp under Nadia district of India opened fire when Abdul Hannan went near the barbed fence wire at Khalpar border around 9.00pm on Thursday.
Alamgir Hossain also said several others were managed to escape at that time whom were along with Hannan. Hannan fell down on the ground receiving bullet.
Local people rescued Hannan and admitted him to a private clinic in the city.
