SAFF U-19 Women's soccer: Bangladesh Women storm into final

Bangladesh Under-19 Women’s Football team stormed into the final of the SAFF Under-19 Women’s Championship crushing Sri Lanka Under-19 Women’s Football team by 12 goals to nil in their last group match at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Sunday.
Bangladesh gained 10 points from four matches, while India earned nine points from as many matches.
Bangladesh will take on India in the final at the same venue on December 22. Bangladesh led the first half 4-0.
Anuching Mogini of Bangladesh put her team ahead in the 2nd minute of the play. Rituparna made it 2-0 in the 7th minute of the match.
Shaheda Akhter increased the tally into 3-0 in the 16th minute of the clash.
Rituparna made it 4-0 just three minutes before the intervals. Akhi Khatun increased the tally into 5-0 in the 47th minute of the play.
Shaheda Akhter scored her second goal in the 49th minute of the clash.
After five minutes, Afida Khondker made it 7-0.
