ICC U-19 World Cup: Bangladesh U-19 storm into semis

Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team stormed into the semi-finals of the ICC Under-19 World Cup defeating South Africa Under-19 Cricket team by 104 runs in their quarter-final match at Potchefstroom in South Africa on Thursday.
Sent into bat first, Bangladesh Under-19 team piled up a fighting total of 261 for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 50 overs and then bundled out South Africa for 157 off 42.3 overs.
Opener Tanzid Hasan hit a marvelous 80. His 84-ball innings was laced with 12 fours.
Third-down Shahadat Hossain remained unbeaten with 74. His 76-ball knock was belted with seven fours and a sixer.
Second-down Towhid Hridoy made 51 from 73 ball featuring two fours. Pheko Moletsane was his team’s most successful bowler with two wickets for 41 runs.
Later, Bangladesh bowlers dominated over the South African batsmen.
Spinner Rakibul Hasan captured five wickets at the cost of 19 runs, while Tanzim Hasan bagged a pair of wickets instead of 41 runs. Rakibul Hasan was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance.
Besides, Shoriful Islam and Shamim Hossain took one wicket apiece. Luke Beaufort of South Africa fought back against the tight and controlled bowling attack against the bowlers of Bangladesh. Luke knocked 60. He hit six fours in his 91-ball innings.
