Earlier, Head Coach of Bangladesh team Chandika Hathurusingha said, ” Bangladesh team have no ability to capture 20 wickets of opponents in Test match.”
Bangladesh will face England in the first Test, which begins tomorrow at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
After the practice session on Tuesday, Shakib Al Hasan said,” Many things will depend on wicket. When we play at home grounds, the groundsmen usually make flat wicket. So, the batsmen get advantages and make notable score. If the spinners and pacers get opportunity, our bowlers have ability to bag 20 wickets. On the other hand, if the pitch acts in favours of batsmen, it is tough task for the bowlers to claim 20 wickets against the opponents.”
He said, ” Bangladesh will play for win. But the players have to give their best effort to achieve it.”
The ace all-rounder said, ” We must play for win. To win the match, we have to give our cent percent. We know it. We are taking that kind of preparation for win.”
