Bangla-US 3rd security talks tomorrow

Bangladesh and the United States (US) will hold ‘Security Dialogue’ here on Tuesday that reflects the growing defence relationship between the two countries and shared commitment to peace and prosperity in the region.This will be the third dialogue on security issues between the two countries which is aimed at enhancing partnerships in peacekeeping, counterterrorism, and security cooperation, as well as joint military exercises and exchanges.Tom Kelly, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, will lead the US delegation while Mustafa Kamal, Secretary (Bilateral) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will lead Bangladesh side to the dialogue, said an official at the Foreign Ministry. Atul Keshap, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Department of State, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, and US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan Mozena will also join the dialogue. The first such dialogue was held in Dhaka on April 19, 2012 while the second one in Washington in April, 2013.
