The Bangabandhu Federation Cup Handball (Men’s) begins tomorrow at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Hanbdball Stadium. Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) will arrange the handball meet with the financial assistance of Orient Food Company.
Marking the forthcoming handball competition, a press conference was held at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium. General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Managing Director & Chairman of Orient Food Company Mahbubuzzaman and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Md Salim Mia Babu spoke at the conference.
A total of four teams will take part in the handball meet. The first phase will be held on single league basis. Top two teams will move into the final. The winning team will be the champions of the tournament.
Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar & VDP, Bandarban District Sports Association and Team Handball, Dhaka will compete in the five-day long competition.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk two lakh and fifty thousand, while Orient Food Company will give Tk one lakh to BHF and the BHF will bear rest of the expenditure from its own fund.
