A Dhaka court on Sunday rejected bail pleas of four private university students in two cases filed on charges of carrying out attack on police and rendering safer vandalism during students’ protests for road.
Magistrate Pranab Kumar Hui of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order after hearing upon the pleas.
The accused students are Tariqul Islam, Redwan Ahmed, Mashaad Murtaza Ahmed and Azizul Karim Antor. The cases were filed with Badda and Bhatara police stations.
Earlier, on August 9, a Dhaka court sent 22 private university students, including the four to the jail, after placing them on two-day remand each.
