Teachers and students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) formed a human chain and held a rally on Tuesday protesting the vulgar comments made by Mahmudus Samad Chowdhury against prominent writer Zafar Iqbal.
The students under the banner of general students formed human chain and held a rally in front of central library at 12:00 Noon.
The speakers at the rally protested and condemned the remarks against a teacher.
They urged the President and the University authorities to suspend Samad Chowdhury from the university senate.
On the other hand, Shahjalal University Teachers Association condemned against the statement through a press release.
The teachers asked Samad Chowdhury to withdraw his remarks.
