Bikalpadhara Bangladesh president and Juktofront chief Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury wants to see the incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to retain the office again by winning the upcoming polls.
He also wants to see his son Mahi B Chowdhury as a Member of Parliament (MP).
The former President of the Republic B Chowdhury expressed his desire in a conversation with the Prime Minister during Friday’s talks between Awami League led 14-party alliance and Juktafront at Ganobhaban, according to online newspaper Bangla Tribune. The 21-member Juktafront team led by B. Chowdhury placed a seven-point demand in the dialogue. After placing their demands, he said, “Honorable Prime Minister, we want to see Awami League again in the office. We also want to see you retain the premiership as well,” an anonymous Awami League leader, who was present at the dialogue, told Bangla Tribute.
In response, Hasina said, “Participate in the polls and come to the Parliament. We will extend our support.”
In reply, B Chowdhuy said, “I am too old to participate in the election. I have already chosen alternative candidate (Mahi B Chowdhury) to contest from my constituency. We’re looking forward to your cooperation.”
