Australia Cricket team will arrive in Dhaka on July 29 to play five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against Bangladesh Cricket team. All the matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur. Bangladesh will take on Australia in five T20I matches on August 3,4, 6,7 and 9.
Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Akram Khan said, ” All the matches will start at 6.00pom. But if Cricket Australia wants to change the schedule time it will discuss with BCB and change the starting time.”
It may be mentioned that Australia Cricket team are now staying West Indies to play One Day International (ODI) matches against the Caribbeans. During the second ODI match between Australia and West Indies, a supporting staff of West Indies have tested positive for coronavirus. So, the ODI match was abandoned and the 152 persons, who are related to the ODI series underwent Covid-19 test. All of them became negative for coronavirus test. Thus there is no doubt that the Aussies will tour Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket team are now staying in Zimbabwe. Bangladesh Cricket team will return home on July 29.
