As part of the celebration of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary, Bangladesh High Commission in London will organize an essay and art competition for children in the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland on February 9 next. The competition will be held simultaneously in UK and Ireland for Bangladeshi-British and British children on the aforesaid date from 3 pm to 5 pm, a press release said.
Children under three categories can participate in the competition. The categories are: ‘A’ group for children of 5-8 ages, ‘B’ group for 9-12 years children and ‘C’ group for children of 13-18 years. Interested children are requested to fill up the form for registration in this regard from the website of Bangladesh High Commission in London and send it to – [email protected] and [email protected] – within January 9.
The prize distribution ceremony will be held on March 22 at East London York hall on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary.
