Bodies of Nuruzzaman Paplu, 50, first class contractor in Jessore town and his daughter Maisha Nahian, 15, class ten student of Jessore Police Line High School were buried at Ghope Graveyard in Jessore town on Wednesday noon.
The two were burnt to death while wife of the businessman Mafruha Begum Mita, 40 received burn wounds as a firebomb was thrown to a passenger bus at Chauddagram in Comilla on Tuesday.
Nanaj-e-Janaja of the two was held at Jessore Eidgah where people from all walks of life including Dr Humayun Kabir, Deputy Commissioner, Jessore, Anisur Rahman, Superintendent of police, former lawmaker Ali Reza Raju attended.
Kamruzzaman Dablu, younger brother of renowned businessman Paplu told that his brother went to Cox’s Bazar along with his family members for touring four-day back. ‘They were victimisied of arson attack while returning from their by a bus of Icon Transport at night,’ he added.
Mita received burn wounds in a hand, back and some other organs, quoting his eldest brother Asaduzzaman, Director, Bangladesh Jute Research Centre, Dhaka Dablu added.
Seven passengers of the bus were burnt to death and 20 others wounded in arson attack.
The victims were residents of Ghope Central Road in Jessore town. People of all walks of life gathered at the residence after the bodied were taken to their residence earlier.
