Popular singers Shayan Chowdhury Arnob and Karishma Sanu Sovvota will be performing
at a fund raising concert for the flood victims at the Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD) in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on
June 27, said a press release.
The AFD and community organisation Daahuk are organising the special musical programme to raise funds to rebuild houses at flood affected areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj. The entry fee for the concert will be Tk1,000 and the concert will start at 7:00pm, said the organisers.
All the money raised at the concert will be donated for rebuilding houses for the flood victims.
Karishma Sanu Sovvota confirmed the news by sharing the event on her Facebook page. She wrote, “We will sing to help the people of Sunamganj at 7:00pm on 27th June at Alliance Frances de Dhaka (Dhanmondi).”
The singer also mentioned that Arnob and Friends will also be performing at the event.
It is noted that Arnob and Sovvota recently worked together in the song Bulbuli, while Arnob curated and produced the song. Sovvota was a part of the chorus singers.
